Attorneys

Ms. Roberts returns to her home state of New Jersey after establishing her legal career in the Washington, D.C. area. She served almost 5 years as an Assistant Prosecutor in Arlington County, Virginia where she handled all types of criminal prosecution with a concentration in Sex Offenses, Drug Offenses, Domestic Violence and Juvenile Delinquency. She also monitored all NGRI (Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity) cases for Arlington County and served on the Mental Health and Criminal Justice System Courts Committee. She successfully prosecuted dozens of jury trials before the Circuit Court of Virginia in addition to daily court appearances before the General District Courts.

Prior to her career as a prosecutor, Ms. Roberts served as a law clerk to the Circuit Court Judges of Arlington County, dedicating a large percentage of her time to the review of divorce and custody cases. In addition, she was responsible for the review of adoption petitions and sentencing files for criminal defendants.

During her time in law school, Ms. Roberts served as the Student Administrator for the Domestic Violence Clinic, representing victims of Domestic Violence in Civil Protective Order Hearings in the Washington D.C. Superior Court.
